Christine A. Foster

Christine A. Foster is devoted to representing workers who have been injured in the workplace. Prior to beginning her own private practice in 1992, she worked with Justice Robert Utter of the Washington Supreme Court on special research projects and with the Office of the Washington State Attorney General representing the Department of Labor & Industries in appeals before the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals, superior courts and courts of appeal in Washington State. In addition to representing workers before the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals, Ms. Foster has also successfully represented injured workers in the appellate courts relative to significant Industrial Insurance issues which include Brand v. Department of Labor & Industries, 91 Wn.App.280, 959 P.2d 133 (1998) rev'd. 139 Wn.2nd 659, 989 P.2d 1111 (1999) and Somsak v. Crition Industries, 75 Wn.Spp. 657, 879 P.2d 326 (1994) (regarding jurisdictional limitations on appeals from Department orders.)

Ms. Foster graduated, cum laude, from the University of Puget Sound now Seattle University School of Law in 1988. She is admitted to the Washington State Bar Association and United States District Court (Western District, Washington); she is a member of the American Bar Association, Western Trial Lawyers Association, King County Bar Association, Washington State Association for Justice and is listed in Who's Who in American Law. Ms. Foster has spoken before both peer and community groups on topics related to workers' compensation and employment discrimination.


Natasha E. Staton

Natasha E. Staton has been representing injured workers since 1993, and an attorney with Foster Law Office, now Foster|Staton P.C., since 1996. Her practice focuses on the representation of injured workers before the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries and the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals. Prior to her association with Foster|Staton P.C., she was an attorney with Rumbaugh, Rideout & Barnett, in Tacoma, Washington.

Ms. Staton is a highly competent, compassionate, and successful advocated for injured workers. She attends Legal conferences around the country to stay abreast of developments in the law and of medical conditions and treatment, to more effectively represent her clients. She received her undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Washington in 1990, and earned her law degree from the University of Puget Sound School of Law, now Seattle University Law School, in 1993. She has been licensed to practice law since December 1993, and is a member in good standing with the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA) and the Washington State Association for Justice (WSAJ).

 


Robert Silber

Robert A. Silber has been an associate with Foster|Staton, P.C. for over five years. During this time, he has been the primary trial attorney representing injured workers in administrative appeals before the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals and at Superior Court. In addition to his litigation work, Mr. Silber manages a large number of ongoing claims at the Department level. Prior to moving to Washington, Mr. Silber practiced law in Chicago, Illinois where he focused on employment and labor law.

Mr. Silber received his J.D. from DePaul University in Chicago in 2000. He received a Master’s degree in East European Studies from Indiana University in 1996 and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California at Santa Cruz in 1990. Following completion of his undergraduate studies and prior to beginning law school, he spent six years in Hungary, where among various other positions he worked as an advisor to the Hungarian political party, The Alliance of Free Democrats (SZDSZ). He also worked in the United States Embassy in Hungary as an Economics Officer after receiving a State Department Fascell Fellowship. Mr. Silber then served for a short time with the United States Commerce Department in Hungary as a Commercial Officer.

Mr. Silber is in good standing with the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA) and the Washington State Association for Justice (WSAJ). He regularly speaks at conferences on topics related to workers’ compensation. Mr. Silber currently lives in Lake Forest Park with his wife Nelly, a native of Hungary, and his two young children, Emma and Benjamin.
